Abstract
The paper discusses the use of modern methods of terrestrial photogrammetry as an alternative or supplement to conventional surveying methods for the repeated inspection of dams. Photogrammetry is a very efficient technique for measuring deformations on dams especially when a large number of points needs to be measured regularly. Photogrammetric 3-D point determination was carried out on the Luzzone dam in the Valle di Blenio. The photographs were taken with a ditigal high-resolution Kodak DCS200 still video camera and a Wild P31 metric photographic camera. The results of the point determination are presented and compared with measurements taken using a theodolite and a Mekometer ME500 high-precision distance measuring apparatus. -English summary
