Abstract
Both in research and in the construction industry, there are various simulation methods and programs for thermal and energy analysis and assessment in the building industry. Often only one method is used without considering the useful addition of other methods. This is also due to the lack of compatibility between programs. The research project "CO2-neutrales Welterbe Speicherstadt Hamburg" is investigating, among other things, various renovation options in the field of building services and plant engineering in the area of monument protection. The individual refurbishment components are analysed by implementing them in small and large demonstrators using measurements and various simulation methods, both upstream and downstream. All the information gathered in the project will be recorded on a BIM model through an IFC-based dashboard, either by component or by room. This will enable the rapid exchange of information and results for both the different simulation methods and all other project participants. A sub-target is to determine the most appropriate simulation method for each problem and to investigate the complementarity of the methods and the optimal use of synergies. In particular, thermal building simulation with IDA ICE and CFD simulation with StarCCM+ will be analysed.
