Abstract

Rail-City-Portalsclose existing gaps in a environment-friendly, intelligent, and city-friendly logistics chain. Their philosophy of "Green-Urban-Intelligence"combines intermodal information technologies with concepts for the clustering of small-size parcels for e-mobility-based urban delivery. Rail-City-Portals support the freight transfer from highway to railway, effectively reduce urban traffic, and thus raise urban living quality.
