NEU-Water: Nature Engineered Urban Design for Water Recycling and Reuse

Project Details

Description

The NEU Water (Nature Engineered Urban design for Water recycling & reuse) project aims to develop solutions and processes that promote the reuse of rainwater and greywater by incorporating water-sensitive urban development. Through collaboration between HafenCity University, the University of Cape Town, Ardhi University and URBANWaters Consulting, expertise in water-sensitive urban development and wastewater management will be brought together to generate a new water resource for urban South Africa - recycled water. The overall project goal is to assess and develop nature-based decentralised approaches at city level that can be integrated into urban planning in cities such as Cape Town.
