Bottom-up NEBourhoods - Bottom-up Social Entrepreneurship for the Co-creation of Neighbourhoods in line with the New European Bauhaus

The overall objective of Bottom-Up NEBourhoods is to empower social entrepreneurs at the grassroots
level and to demonstrate, evaluate, and replicate social business models that drive systemic change
at the neighbourhood level and enable further scaling. By focusing on long-term financial viability
alongside social goals, the project will showcase how community-led initiatives in the construction,
mobility, and land-use sectors can move beyond the pilot stage to create lasting local value. The
project will implement demonstration pilots in Helsinki, Košice, Ancona, and The Hague. An
exploitation and sustainability roadmap will be developed for each pilot, outlining pathways for
continuation and scaling, alongside a report on the replication network and financing opportunities.
