Research
Hanna Göbel has headed the Research Group on Methods of Urban Practice since 2025. Prior to that, she served as an adjunct professor of urban anthropology and ethnographic methods at HafenCity University from 2022 to 2024.
She is a sociologist, and her research focuses on ethnographic methods, as well as the intersection of urban studies, anthropology, and the sociology of the body, cultural sociology, cultural studies, and Science & Technology Studies (STS).
