Schräglaufkräfte großer Containerkrane mit Schwingenfahrwerken

This paper presents a method to calculate the ske wing forces of large container cranes with equalizer crane travelling units. Taking into account the elasticity of the crane travelling units this method enlarges the cases covered by the codes providing information on the calculation of skewing forces. A benefit of the presented method is an economic design of crane runway girders and foundations. Anew container crane for the port of Hamburg serves as an example to show the application of the formular.
