Planning cultures in europe between convergence and divergence: Findings, explanations and perspectives

Joerg Knieling, Frank Othengrafen

Abstract

All contributions in this volume describe planning cultures, each using different kinds of evidence and specific forms of argumentation to explore the concept of planning culture. However, in general they all refer to the central questions set out by the editors in their introduction. Thus, the main purpose of the conclusion is to reconsider the framework presented by the ‘culturised planning model’ and its (analytical) cultural dimensions (see earlier contribution of Knieling and Othengrafen in this volume), to find answers to the questions posed earlier and to identify further topics that might be worthy of future research.
